When you are considering the stage size you need it is necessary to determine the maximum number of people who will be on the stage at any time. You then need to work out if they will be standing or seated and the space required for them.
Stage modules are 2m x 1m and are available in various heights, so these can be joined together to create the size of stage you require. Steps are also available to allow for easy access to and from the stage
In some instances a panel table with microphones will be in front of the panel. Space for the table with a minimum of 0.5m each end of the table should be available and sufficient depth of stage so the panelists will have enough space when they move back their chairs. Normally 2m from front to back of stage would be sufficient for a panel.
If a band is using the stage sufficient space is required for their musical instruments and any fold back speakers. The drummer is normally at the rear of the stage and they are sometimes positioned on a “drum riser” which is a higher piece of staging.
If there is a form of entertainment on the stage it is important to ensure that the performers on the stage have sufficient space to move around as required without being too cramped.
